How to Help
Donate Food:

In providing shopping opportunities every two weeks, the Bayfield Area Food Bank attempts to provide our clients with food that supports a healthy diet.
Food can be dropped off at the Bayfield Library Foyer, the donation box in front of the Food Bank or the Donation Box at the Bayfield Foodland. Arrangements can be made for a volunteer to meet you right at the Food Bank – just call and we’ll be there!
Some of our most needed non-perishable food categories are:
- Canned vegetables and fruit (no sugar added)
- Canned tomatoes (no salt added)
- Canned tuna and salmon
- Peanut butter
- Special-diet foods (gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.)
- Healthy snacks and juice boxes for children
Donate Funds: Credit Card / Cheque / e-Transfer / Cash / Gift Card
While we primarily request food donations we also need monetary donations to keep our baseline operations (rent and utilities for our space) running and for purchasing food during times of shortage.

We have an online donation portal
(operated through
Canada Helps).
This is the easiest method to make a financial donation, as a charitable tax receipt will be generated and e-mailed to you shortly after your donation.

If you would like to donate by cheque, you can mail it to us
(P.O. Box 42, Bayfield ON N0M 1G0).
A tax receipt will be mailed to you.
Please be certain that the correct name and mailing address are on the cheque, or on the envelope containing the cheque.
Cheques can be made out to "Bayfield Area Food Bank".

You can donate by eTransfer by eTransferring your donation to bayfieldareafoodbank@gmail.com.
Be sure to put Donation and your name and address in the memo section so we can ensure you get a charitable tax receipt.

If you would like to donate by cash, you must drop it off in person.
Please call 519-525-8286 and someone will meet you at the Food Bank.
If you would like a tax receipt, be certain the correct name and mailing address are on the envelope containing the cash.

If you would like to donate by gift card, we strongly encourage that you drop it off in person.
Please call 519-525-8286 and someone will meet you at the Food Bank.
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue tax receipts for gift cards; however, we are happy to issue a thank-you letter if requested and if there is a name and mailing address accompanying the card(s).
